The opportunity

Mechanized farming as a pathway to national food security.

Across rural communities, the land and ambition are present. Affordable access to modern equipment, training, and market connections is not.

ADECAT-MECHFARM is the agricultural programme platform of Adecat Agricares Services Limited, a subsidiary of ADECAT Group Global Investments Companies Limited (RC 479879). Building on experience in equipment leasing, farm supply, and rural development partnerships, we are advancing a structured national mechanization programme in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The ADECAT model

From organizing farmers to building food-secure communities.

Lasting agricultural change happens when every link in the value chain is supported.

01

Organize

Mobilize farmers into capable, inclusive cooperatives and community networks.

02

Equip

Provide tractors, implements, and trained operators through shared service models.

03

Grow

Adopt productive practices through hands-on farmland training and field demonstrations.

04

Prosper

Connect production to markets, financial services, and sustainable livelihoods.

What we do

Programmes designed around the whole farmer.

Each programme addresses a real barrier to agricultural productivity and connects to the next step in a farmer's growth.

Mechanized farming access

Procurement and deployment of Massey Ferguson and Chinese-brand HUATUO tractors with full implements, shared machinery hubs, and operator training for rural smallholders.

01

Farmer capacity development

Structured training covering tractor operation, maintenance, safety protocols, plantation farming, rice farming, and dry-land farming across 36 states and the FCT.

02

Cooperative empowerment

Partnerships with farmers’ cooperatives, community-based organizations, financial institutions, and government to strengthen collective decision-making and market access.

03

Food security & sustainability

A seven-year phased programme designed to increase agricultural productivity, improve food security, and build durable rural enterprises across Nigeria.

In the field

Knowledge becomes confidence when it is practised on real farmland.

Keys to success

A practical programme built for results.

ADECAT-MECHFARM combines years of hands-on agricultural experience with a structured national programme designed for measurable, sustainable impact.

  • Availability of funding to execute the programme within a defined timeframe
  • Adherence to phased implementation milestones and monitoring schedules
  • Access to established off-takers and market connections
  • Collaboration with government agencies, cooperatives, and local communities
